Production planning estimate

Plan around lb of sweet red peppers

A starting estimate is 0.2 lb of dried ground paprika per lb of fresh peppers. Work back from how much you go through in a year to see how much that takes to make.

What you'll need

— lb of sweet red peppers

Planning note: Dry ripe sweet red peppers fully, then grind to a fine powder. A dehydrator makes this far more practical than air-drying at home. Most cooks just buy this at the store, but it is easy to make in small batches from a home pepper harvest.
